I finally did it! Booked and paid for... Mondays with Mcqueen at The Met in NYC!!

I'm so excited that I am actually going to get to see this exhibit! In 2 and a half weeks I will be among some of the most amazing works of fashion art ever!

"Current" Love

Emily Current and Meritt Elliott, the geniuses behind the amazing denim brand Current/Elliot have team up with classic handbag designer Kate Spade for a limited edition capsule line of trendy bags for fall! The Westward by Emily & Meritt for Kate Spade New York Collection will go on sale in August and the prices will range from $245 to $1,295. I've got my eye on this insane leather ostrich embossed piece.

Cosmic Lita

My procrastinating got the best of me today when I decided to think about buying the new Cosmic Jeffrey Campbell Litas. 2 hours later and they are already sold out! On to the waiting list I go!

It is finally summer which means its time for cute shorts, dresses and sandals!

Here are a few of my favourite summer 2011 trends!

J Brand bright cut off shorts

I am loving BRIGHT coloured shorts for summer! Just make sure if you are trying to rock this trend, due to the "short" nature of these shorts keep your top on the modest side, we don't need to see EVERYTHING!

Topshop floral cut out dress

Floral dresses are always a staple in summer. This year try one with a cool cut out for a rock 'n' roll twist! I love this one from Topshop!

I have also decided to add in a new feature to my blog... What I'm wearing while I am blogging!

Today I am wearing a pair of olive green sweat shorts from Forever21 and a grey scoop neck James Pierce t-shirt... Super casual for a day off spent with my BFF!

Gossip Girl

One of my favorite television shows is of course Gossip Girl, and the fashion is a very large part of my love for it! This season however, the looks seem to have fallen short. They seem to be mimicking looks straight for the actors closets instead of the characters they play... (little j's extremely inappropriate skirt lengths anyone?? So I decided to style an outfit of each character to show my opinion of what each girl should be wearing when the show returns in March.

Blair should go back to season 1 Queen Bee. The return of the headband, frills and matching.

Serena outfits have been the biggest disappointment. Cocktail dresses for work and ponytails have really ruined her look! Bring back her long flowing hair, neural tones, and piles of accessories!

I don't even know where to start with Little J... she looks like she should be working a corner! We need the girl next door back! Floral patterns with a mix of rock and roll is exactly what she needs to rule the Upper East Side!

True Love Clothing is eco friendly and is made with soy jerseys, organic cottons, and woven bamboos. The designs include many basic pieces with amazing details and great unique pieces for the alternative girl in all of us!

A cropped look at life

One of the hottest trends right now brings me right back to my high school days. Cropped tops, of course they have been modernized since those days. They are now featuring a baggier fit and rock 'n' roll twist.

I have been a bit skeptical about this look since I first saw it a couple of months ago, but now I think I am ready to embrace it. So today I went to Forever 21 and bought this great cropped t-shirt...

To bad its to freezing outside and wearing this is going to be very difficult to do without my stomach freezing off.
